Mike has been the men’s team manager since 2012 when he managed Wales at the 2012 European Championships in Amsterdam. He managed the Wales U19 side that competed in the 2008 World Championships in Coquitlam, Canada.
His introduction to Wales lacrosse was in 2003 when he acted as Press Officer for the U19 World Championships in Towson, USA and he has supported Wales at the 2004 and 2008 European Championships and 2006 World Championships.
Mike became a lacrosse volunteer when his younger son, Morgan, aged 11, picked up a stick in Sheffield. Since then both elder son Rhodri and daughter Nia have become lacrosse players.
Mike was formerly secretary of Sheffield Steelers and is a committee member of the Yorkshire County Lacrosse Association.
Within Wales’s team management Mike has lead responsibility for liaison with the Federation of International Lacrosse, the US World Championship organising committee, the ELF and the WLA. He deals with player registration and eligibility and, with Phil Walker, all financial issues and transactions.
