Lacrosse started for me while I was studying at the University of Wales, Swansea in 2004. What began as something new to do has turned into what will have been a 12 year obsession by the time we get to Hungary. This journey has taken me from complete novice to international athlete and now to being a senior member of the squad. Through lacrosse I have had the opportunity to travel to the world, be introduced to many interesting people and to have met some of my best friends.
I first started playing with Wales Lacrosse in 2007 and had the incredible opportunity to play in my first international tournament in 2008 at the European Championship in Lahti, Finland. Since then I have competed at both a further European Championships, a Celtic Cup and two World Championships.
Hungary 2016 will be my third European Championships and it will again be an honour and a privilege to pull on the jersey and represent Wales. I hope to use my experience on the international stage to have a great tournament personally and also to help some of the younger players to the strong performances they are all capable of.
As a squad we have good reason to be excited to play against the best teams in Europe. With the squad the coaches have put together we will be highly competitive and looking to finish in the highest place we possibly can
