I started playing lacrosse back in primary school and after just a few sessions I was hooked and ventured down the road to my local club team - Cheadle Hulme. After a brief spell as a defender and even a couple of games in goal I soon settled in midfield.
I played for various clubs around Stockport as a junior and was fortunate enough to be selected for the Stockport Metros touring team for three years and a memorable tour to the states along with the Cheshire u16s. In four years at Oxford University I was then able to add three varsity wins, a Full Blue, a BUSA championship trophy and a year as captain to my lacrosse CV before graduating and helping my current club the Walcountian Blues to a premiership title and two flags victories before taking on my current role as vice-captain.
I started playing for Wales at the 2009 Celtic Cup in Scotland and have since enjoyed the honour of representing my country in the 2010 World Championships, the 2012 European Championships where I took home the Wales' 'Best Midfielder' trophy and the 2014 World Championships in Denver. I am now really looking forward to the chance to pull on the jersey again in Budapest and to hopefully help a strong Wales squad put in a good performance.
