Born in Newport Wales, at the age of 7 my family relocated to the United States, Massachusetts, in 1997. I began playing lacrosse at the age of 12 after being persuaded by friends to play a year of youth lacrosse, and have never looked back. I played for Shrewsbury, MA, High School as an LSM and was fortunate enough to have our team make the district finals both in my junior and senior year, only to lose both. I continued my lacrosse career at the University of Southern Maine primarily as a midfielder. Having played on both sides of the ball I like to think I have a good understanding of the overall game. After university I spent a year coaching in Maine, and then after moving back to mass I spent another 2 years coaching at my old high school. In my first year helping at Shrewsbury the team went on to win the district championship which I was never able to accomplish as a player, this has got to be my favorite moment in lacrosse.
Now I am back in the UK and am grateful for the opportunity to be playing in welsh colors. I am looking forward to every training session leading up to Budapest 2016 and know we will be ready as a team to make a mark.
