My lacrosse journey started aged 11 at a lacrosse club in the small seaside town of Penarth. I started off as an attackman, moving to the other end off the field to play defence before eventually finding my home as an LSM. I played there for several years moving through the ranks from pop lacrosse to junior mens and eventually into the senior men’s squad.
At 18 I started at Cardiff University where I played varsity lacrosse for 3 years. It was a successful period during which we made it to the BUCS trophy final 2 years running, sadly losing both and also secured promotion from our league. While at university I also registered with Cardiff Harlequins Lacrosse Club where I still play to this day.
My first international experience was when I was selected to play in the 2008 u19 world championships in Coquitlam, Canada. It was a great experience and I enjoyed every second spent with the squad. I was lucky enough to relive the experience 4 years later at the 2012 u19 championships in Turku, Finland with the added responsibility of being one of the team captains.
Hungary will be my first tournament at senior international level. It’s a great honour to have been picked and I look forward to all the challenges it brings!
