I started playing lacrosse 14 years ago, beginning with pop lacrosse at Lydgate Junior School before moving up through the junior ranks at Sheffield Steelers under the guidance of Paul and Mark Coups. I went on to represent Steelers for 9 years at various levels, before moving on to play at the University of Nottingham for 3 years.
After a brief hiatus I made the move to London, where Steve McDermott convinced me that playing at Hitchin would be a great idea. I am now at home in one of the grumpiest defenses in the world.
I first represented Wales in 2008 at the U19 world cup, placing 9th, with the highlight being a last quarter comeback against Scotland in the group stages. Following this I was then selected to the senior squad for the 2010 world championships in Manchester, a great opportunity to play on a fantastic squad.
I am proud and excited to have the opportunity to represent Wales again in Denver, the biggest stage yet.
